STEALTH POLAR-ROCK LANE is a unique residential house designed by YU,PIN-CHI TSAI,YAO-MOU. Inspired by the beauty of the polar region, this design captures the essence of light, temperature, and the interplay of laccolith and shadows. The result is a space that evokes a sense of hidden dreams and amorous feelings.

The design of STEALTH POLAR-ROCK LANE is characterized by its simplicity and the translation of conceptual ideas into precise planning and execution. The exterior of the house features a collage of rocks arranged in a honeycomb structure, with hexagonal units forming the walls. This design allows exterior light to filter through the gaps, creating a mesmerizing effect reminiscent of light floating down through a bedrock gap.

The interior of STEALTH POLAR-ROCK LANE is designed to create a functional and interconnected living space. The use of elongated intermediary spaces, screen grids, and voids allows for the flow of air and natural light, while also providing independent spaces that can adjust temperature and humidity. This innovative design promotes energy-saving practices and creates an illusion of space stage performances.

The construction of STEALTH POLAR-ROCK LANE began in March 2014 and was completed in July 2015. Throughout the project, the design team faced various challenges, including the need to redefine living patterns and inject vitality into the space. However, through creative thinking and a dialectical approach, they were able to overcome these challenges and create a truly unique and captivating design.

STEALTH POLAR-ROCK LANE was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2016 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design. This prestigious award recognizes designs that incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
